Bahamian software development firm builds custom payroll system for CBS Bahamas – Eye Witness News
NASSAU, BAHAMAS – CBS Bahamas has become the latest company to integrate its human resources and payroll processes with TriblockHR, a customizable platform designed by Bahamian software development company Plato Alpha.
TriblockHR, launched in 2021, uniquely addresses the needs of organizations operating in the Bahamas by streamlining payroll, performance and time management systems.
“As a growing company, it was becoming increasingly difficult to keep pace with our employees across all of our divisions and departments,” said CBS Director of E-Commerce Brent Burrows II.
“TriblockHR provided us with an all-in-one solution that ticked a lot of boxes. From payroll to employee self-service, benefits and everything we needed to take our business to the next level. »
Developed by two Gen Z Bahamians in their twenties, TriblockHR is revolutionizing the way businesses manage their most valuable resource, their people. The platform creates efficiencies that amplify team morale and strengthen the bottom line – by centralizing everything from payroll and employee data – to time, attendance and performance management in one system unified reporting.
“Before implementing TriblockHR, CBS managed dozens of employees using paper, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and many hours of work,” said Duran Humes, co-developer of TriblockHR and CEO of Plato Alpha.
Humes said, “After determining the specific processes they wanted to automate, we tailored our TriblockHR product into a custom solution that automates many of the manual HR and payroll tasks they typically perform.”
CBS’s new payroll platform eliminates the need to enter and reconcile data across multiple spreadsheets and systems, plus a long list of other benefits. One of the most notable benefits is the reduction in the time and effort required for CBS to pay National Insurance Board (NIB) dues, as TriblockHR offers a module to calculate both employee deductions and company contributions to the NIB.
TriblockHR’s reporting and analysis capabilities and employee data capture components are two key features that set it apart from other payroll and HR systems.
“We’ve also integrated our platform with CBS’s external clock system to track employee check-in and check-out times,” Humes said.
Using the platform, CBS employees can now request time off digitally and communicate with stakeholders in real time through the system’s group chat component.
“This project has been a pleasure to work on and aligns with our mission to deliver industry-leading, high-quality software solutions that deliver measurable results,” said Keith Roye II, TriblockHR co-developer and director of the operation of Plato Alpha.
“One of the things they wanted was an integrated accounting file, so we made it easy to import all their payroll data into their accounting software. We’ve also included performance management and recruiting modules to allow CBS to conduct company-wide performance reviews and manage candidates applying for jobs. »
Plato Alpha is committed to pioneering digital transformation in the Bahamas. The company has designed and developed digital systems for entities such as Doctors Hospital, Super Value, Rotary Clubs and the Government of the Bahamas.
Humes added, “We are very pleased to know that CBS is making full use of TriblockHR and all it has to offer and are excited to add them to our growing list of clients.”
